4 Teaching Models
1) Societal Interactive Family
I really like this strategy because it helps students gain collaborative skills and creative ideas. It promotes their thinking to learn how to explore, take risks and think outside of the box more often. Try different things and learn from the mistakes.
2) Information Processing Family
This is a very important model to use because students have to know how to look for information, how to analyze information, and how to apply the information to future assignments. They also have to learn how to organize their work, thoughts, ideas, data, etc. so that they do not become overwhelmed by their own work and shut down on us.
3) Personal Family
Out of the four models this is probably my least favorite one because it seems to my understanding that the teacher is not very hands on with the instruction. At some point, some of the students will need some one on one interaction and instruction by the teacher but the teacher cannot forget about the rest of the class. There has to be a method where the teacher can monitor some of the students who are struggling with the work while keeping the rest of the class busy with class activities.
4) Behavioral Family
Very important model as well. In order for a teacher to come up with effective differentiated lesson plans then he/she must understand the students' behaviors, limitations, strengths and weaknesses. Understanding what the students are capable of doing, how they react to certain tasks and how far can the teacher push them before reaching a limit will help to know when it comes to creating good lesson plans.
