Insight on Chapter 8 

It’s interesting that through this chapter we get to see the infrastructure of how an online course is built. There is a lot of information to consider, especially when it comes to the Rubric for Assessing Interactive Quality of Distance Courses. There are a lot of guidelines that need to be met in order to make the course good quality. There are five elements in this rubric and each element has a lot of information that the course needs to meet in order for the standards to be high. I like that there are practice ideas for producing best results when it comes to taking an online course. I have learned a lot of information that I didn’t know about before through this class but I have to say that it has been very difficult keeping up with everything and making sure that every assignment is completed properly because there are just so many projects all at once.  It’s good that books like this provide strategies for students in terms of how to go about handling an online course.
