Digital
Citizenship
I liked the
video because it was short, clear and it went straight to the point. It’s
important for students to understand how the internet can be used for you and
how it can be used against you. They need to learn the dangers of having so
much internet access while still learning of how productive and useful it can
be. I agree with the person in the video in terms of how we have to break a
student’s mind set. We have to break their mindsets of what they think they
know and then rebuilt it by introducing and doing all sorts of strategies with
them. That will help them develop an open mind, improve their comprehension,
built better problem solving skills, etc. It is better that we teach and work
with them using the internet, rather than keeping them away from it and having
them experiment with it on their own when they are so naïve in terms of what
harm they can put themselves or others in.
